Meet The Team

Austin Helms was born knowing he wanted to be an entrepreneur. Having started his very first business at the age of seven, Austin has always known the business world is his oyster. Through his hard work and support of his team, Helms hopes to build an enduring legacy that will last for many generations and impacts thousands. When he is not helping grow NuBlue, Austin performs benefit auctions for non-profits across the Southeast under the name Caring Chant Auctions. Never one to stay still for long, you can find Austin enthusiastically never having downtime, volunteering his auctioneering skills with Caring Chant Auctions events, and off travelling the world in search of new adventures and new opportunities.

Jimmy Giler was first introduced to the electrical industry right out of high school and hasn’t looked back since. His skill in the field (where you can still catch him from time to time!) is only surpassed by the excellent customer service he provides his clientele. Originally hailing from Ecuador, Jimmy’s immigration experience and rebuilding a life from scratch has resulted in a resourceful, humble, and incredibly resilient human being. When not in the field or on the phone, you can catch Jimmy spending his downtime on the golf course, driving his ATV, or spending time with Maegan and kids.

Maegan Giler was born into the trades to a Charlotte-based electrical contractor and is the third generation in her family to work in the industry. After spending her early years on jobsites and at the supply house, as well as typing up countless estimates and invoices, she then gained experience working with local GC’s and within the insurance adjusting world. With trades and business experience then under her belt, Maegan discovered she actually enjoyed working with her other half, and they both did it quite well together. Et voila! Viva Electric was born. When not behind a computer screen, you can find Maegan in her garden or cooking something pretty amazing for Jimmy, kids, and close friends in her downtime.

Meet JJ! With over two decades of electrical experience under his belt, JJ is certainly capable of handling all of Lake Norman’s electrical needs. JJ initially got into electrical work driven by a passion for problem solving and working with his hands. He is happily married and is a very proud dog dad. In his downtime you can find JJ offroading at the highest speed possible, in beast mode on the soccer field, or enjoying his passion… skiing! Interesting fact: JJ was born in Letterkenny, Ireland, and holds dual citizenship.

Clint has been plumbing for 10 years! He enjoys the plumbing trade because he loves to solve customer’s plumbing issues! When he’s not working you can catch him fishing, hanging out with his family. Clint is an avid farmer: he has 10 chickens, 7 ducks, 2 dogs and 3 goats.

Being a second generation, licensed electrician, you know your electrical projects are in expert hands. Fun fact: he actually wired his first outlet at age 9! When not helping clients, you can find Chris volunteering at Scouts, camping with his wife and three kids, or rocking out on one of his MANY guitars.

Hello there, meet Chuck Pesta! Having nearly 24-yrs of HVAC experience under his belt, providing comfort solutions to all. As the Cornelius/Charlotte HVAC Champion Leader, Chuck says he loves the ability to train/develop his team and helping customers effectively. During Chuck downtime, you can find him at the beach fishing, kayaking, and making memories with family.

Meet Mike! Having nearly three decades of electrical experience under his belt, he is certainly an expert in his trade. As the Greenville Market Leader, Mike says he loves the ability to build his team and pass his knowledge on to them. During his downtime, you can find Mike in the great outdoors either hunting or in search of the best fishing hole. Interesting fact: Mike is an adept Infrared Thermography Technician, a very rare skillset, indeed!

Aaron started plumbing right out of high school. He didn’t enjoy school and knew college wouldn’t work out, so he decided to learn a trade. Seven years later and he’s become a great service plumber! He loves everything about his job but the part he enjoys the most is how it keeps him on his toes and how he can learn something new every day. He also really enjoys helping people. While he’s not at work he enjoys being outdoors!

Meet Mark! A Winterville nc native, Mark says what he loves best about the trades is that every day he has the opportunity to solve a new problem. The NuBlue Air Market Leader for the Greenville region, Mark is fully capable of taking care of all of your heating and air needs. In his downtime, you can catch Mark duck hunting or spending quality time with family.

Travis has been a plumber for over 20 years. He is also an Army veteran who enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his family. Travis has numerous five star reviews and hopes to receive another one from you

With over a decade of electrical experience and 10 years as a fireman under his belt, Andrew most certainly will have you taken care of. When not lighting up the lives of our customers, Andrew can be found in the great outdoors on his ATV or in search of the best fishing spot.
